About Gary
Greetings, I am Gary. I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia, and I currently hold both a Bachelor’s and a Master’s Degree in Accounting from Kennesaw State University.
My career journey spans assistant controller, senior accountant, staff accountant, and job cost accountant roles, with a specialization in progressive construction accounting. I am currently a full-time Assistant Accounting Controller at one of the top three largest civil engineering firms in the Southeastern United States, where I oversee a $1.2 billion construction infrastructure project with a six-year completion timeline.
Prior to my accountancy career, I served in the United States Army for three and a half years as a heavy wheeled vehicle operator. That foundation—combined with my professional accounting experience—has shaped a disciplined, practical, and detail-driven approach to financial management.
My depth of experience has equipped me with the ability to paint clear financial pictures through accurate reporting and meaningful financial storytelling. When I’m not assisting clients, you’ll likely find me fishing, reading, or exploring new coffee shops and vinyl listening bars.
